This is the schedule I will try to follow regarding what I post on this blog. As others join me or begin interacting with my posts, somethings may change; but I hope to stick with this basic layout.
Monday - Something New
This means I will post something new to me. It could be a new recipe I’ve tried, a new style of drawing/writing, a new blog/channel/profile I’ve stumbled upon; anything new to me that can now potentially be new to you as well.
Tuesday - Photography
These are the days that I’ll post about photography. It will always include a photograph of my own, but may also include new techniques, ideas or locations I’ve come across.
Wednesday - Writing
On Wednesdays, I’ll post snippets of something I’m currently writing, I’ll make a character profile, or I’ll share something I wrote in the past. These are the days that I’ll look for interaction from others, as I want to begin a story where comments on this blog dictate what happens next.
Thursday - Drawing
This day will be a day of discovery for me each week, as I’m slowly falling back into drawing more than once a month. It will be a toss up between digital and traditional, as well as a toss up between something I’m comfortable drawing and pushing my abilities.
Friday - Free Form
Supposing I’m joined by others on this quest, Friday is a day to create in whatever form you like. This could be sculpting, dancing, singing, building, drawing, painting, writing, editing videos, etc. It’s just whatever you want day, as long as you’re productive and enjoying the adventure of it.
Saturday - Share Something
Weekends will be more for relaxing and less for keeping up with schedules. I’m a firm believer that even artists need a break from their babies, so I want to use Saturday as more of a conversational day. Share something about yourself, about your life, about your art, about your interests, etc. Let’s get to know each other and have a fun conversation. In doing this, we not only connect with each other, but we may also learn some new skills, ideas, or tactics to try as we proceed with the upcoming week.
Sunday - Lazy Day
I haven’t decided yet if I will interact with this blog on Sundays. It may be determined by circumstance from week to week. Sundays will be spent responding to posts or just general house keeping (updating posts and such). We all need a lazy day in our week, so why not stick with the tradition of a lazy Sunday?
As I said in my first post, I hope for others to join me. Create with me, share with me, let’s get to know each other and support each others’ art. I’m making this blog to encourage myself to create every day and not lose touch with my various skills, and I want to encourage others in the same way.
